This map shows religious and official buildings, gardens, parks, etc. It is undated, but dates from around 1887 and is one of the first modern city maps. It was published by the Cartographic Institute of A. Ilyin in St. Petersburg. It is a chromolithograph. The map shows Kyiv in the mid-1880s, when the city was under direct Russian rule.

Historical maps show traces of time and use, the intensity and nature of which vary depending on the map and its purpose. The print offered is a reproduction.
