Important buildings include the Hôpital Necker, the École Militaire on the eastern edge of the map, as well as numerous industrial facilities and gasworks along the Seine. Central streets are the Rue de Vaugirard, the Boulevard de Grenelle, and the Avenue Félix Faure, which open up the district towards the Seine.
