This 1813 work is a finely engraved sea chart focusing on the Skagerrak, the treacherous strait between the southeast coast of Norway, the west coast of Sweden, and the Jutland peninsula of Denmark. The map stretches eastward from Lindesnes (the southern tip of Norway) to Frederikshald (now Halden, Norway) and from the Swedish coast at Gothenburg southward to the northern Danish coast on the Kattegat.
