Hebrides Islands | Scotland | Nautical Chart | Map from 1804 | Giclée Print
This is a very detailed French sea chart of the west coast of Scotland. The map covers the coastline from "Cap Wrath" in the north to "Pointe d'Ardnamurchan" in the south. This includes a large part of the Scottish Highlands and the island groups of the Inner and Outer Hebrides. As a sea chart, it also contains typical rhumb lines emanating from a central point. Longitude: The longitudes refer to the Paris Meridian, which was common for French maps of this period.
Historic maps show traces of time and use, the intensity and nature of which vary depending on the map and its intended purpose. The print offered is a reproduction.
